Women, Rap and The Grammy's

Women in rap were always disregarded, until this year's Grammy's. This year women were running the show. They delivered the night's best performances. The most rememberable performances like Cardi B's 'Money', Camilla Cabello's 'Havana' or Janelle Monae's and Miley Cyrus's 'Jolene' performance. Cardi B won a Grammy for 'Best Rap Album' with her album 'Invasion of Privacy'  against Travis Scott's 'Astroworld' album. I honestly found that amazing! 'Astroworld' was an extraordinarily big project with astounding songs. It's amazing that a women rapper won the award against such a successful rapper. Last year when Neil Portnow, Grammy's President, was asked about the lack of women in the top categories he said that women need to "step up". He did acknowledge that it was a poor choice of words and apologized at this year's Grammy's. When Dua Lipa won 'Bes

Plants vs Zombies: Bully for You - Book Review

Nate and Patrice are no average kids, they protect Neighbourville from zombies!  Their biggest enemy, Zomboss, is back and he's causing trouble everywhere; at the park, in the store and on the streets. He's robbing every store and lollipop in sight. But here come some old foes, The Anti-Bully Squad. There another problem though! Crazy Dave has some much ice cream! Will Zomboss take over Neighbourville or will The Anti-Bully defeat him? Will Crazy Dave's ice cream melt? Read Plants vs Zombies Bully for You to find out! I think this book isn't that good. It could be because I don't like Plant vs Zombies, but I didn't find it that exciting or funny. There were a couple of parts that were funny. Most of the time I didn't understand the story or what was happening. That again could be because I don't know all the names of plants and what they can do. Here are some of my favourite parts: For this book to be better they could make sur

TIGER - Movie Review

Pardeep Singh Nagra was a boxer. Well, more than that actually.  Tiger is a movie based on the true story of Pardeep Singh Nagra. Pardeep was born and raised in Canada. He faced lots of discrimination because of his faith and culture. He was raised by his aunt and uncle because his parents moved to India.  In the movie, Pardeep had lots of rage and anger. That's how he became a boxer. He let out all his anger with each punch. The boxing club that he attended was filled with racists. He got better day by day with practise and support from his coach and soon from his fellow boxers. The problem soon arose. The ABC (American Boxing Commission) didn't approve of Pardeep boxing.  It was because he had a beard and the rules say the boxer must be clean shaved. Pardeep and his lawyer fought until he was allowed to box. But did it work? Watch the movie to find out! I can relate to the movie. I have witnessed and faced racism countless times. I think that what Pardeep did r

The Egg That Has More Likes Than Kylie Jenner

This egg has more than 32 million likes. Yeah. On January 4th the 'world_record_egg' Instagram page posted a picture of an egg that went VIRAL. It got more than 32 million likes. It beat a post by Kylie Jenner. What was the competition? It was a post of a birth announcement. Kylie Jenner's post had 18 million likes and the egg beat it by over 14 million likes! And it's just an egg. Why was a picture of an egg even posted? Well, the manager of the page said they were reading an article about the top 20 posts of 2018. They thought it would be amazing to beat the records with something very basic. That led them to decide on an egg. It took some time for the picture to get so many likes. On January 8th, four days after the picture was posted, it had 10, 000 likes. Then, the egg started to get more and more popular.  How does Jenner feel about this? Well, Kylie made a post of cracking an egg on the pavement. The caption was "Take that, little egg".
